WHEELING, W.Va., Jan. 4, 2013 -- The nightcap on the opening day of the CRC brought together Lower Merion (PA), which is the high school alma mater of Kobe Bryant, and St. Raymond (NY).

In short, the game was never real competitive despite St. Raymond’s 10-4 record coming into the contest. LM’s balance, defense, and transition scoring was too much for the Ravens in a 71-44 rout.

The Aces jumped out to a quick lead opening the margin to 17 points by intermission sending a large number of fans to the exit.

Lower Merion enjoyed a 20-4 run to open the 3rd quarter leaving zero doubt in the final outcome. The Aces led 60-27 heading into the final frame.

Senior Yohanny Dalembert scored 15 points, snared 12 rebounds, and swatted away seven shots en route to MVP honors. Syracuse commit BJ Johnson added 13 points and five assists. Junior JaQuan Johnson netted 12 points, senior Raheem Hall totaled eight points and five rebounds, and junior Justin McFadden notched eight lightings as well.
